Why Paperly exists
We started Paperly after seeing how many thoughtful product builders felt overwhelmed by busywork, misaligned metrics, and cargo-cult rituals. Our publishing cadence is intentionally slow so we can invest in deep reporting, articulate perspectives, and refine visuals that support learning rather than distract from it.
Each essay begins with a real question from our community - something a design lead is wrestling with, or a founder is navigating with their team. From there, we synthesize frameworks, interview practitioners, and pair the narrative with artifacts that can be adapted in your context.
Our promise
Offer honest, practical stories you can reference when you're building under pressure.
Our filter
Publish pieces that sharpen judgment, not just add to the noise of hot takes and recycled templates.
Editorial pillars
The three rhythms we obsess over
Our stories stay fresh because we work inside real product orgs. Every quarter we embed with a partner team to observe their rituals, extract patterns, and translate them into systems you can remix.
-
Research
We interview leaders, operators, and ICs across stages to keep our advice grounded.
-
Craft
Every diagram, template, and soundbite is designed to be copy-friendly and remixable.
-
Community
We host monthly salons where readers unpack essays together and share practical playbooks.
